“If justice gives me the truth, I do not have to look for it outside”

It’s been almost eight years of struggle. What is next?

A person who at the time was said to be the material author of the murder of your husband was murdered. Do you think that case should be included?

I definitely think it is very important to investigate the causes of the murder of alias Francis, who was the executor of the shot to my husband. Surprisingly, that former prosecutor, René Astudillo, did not make an expert opinion of the direction of the bullet in the case of my husband, he did not investigate the public threats that all the press published. I have serious doubts about that investigation.

Now that you mention the then prosecutor, he concluded that common crime was responsible in the case of your husband. Do you think there was any interest involved or was pressured?

You said you’re going to go to the last instances. Are you looking for some economic compensation from the State?

No, I do not care. We have lived with pride with what my husband left us. Yes I feel proud because it was with his work, effort and I am convinced that my husband does not have a drop of blood on his hands or responsibility for anything.

The accounts of all the people who had some connection in the purchase of Dhruv helicopters and in the investigation of your husband’s case will be investigated. Do you think you can find something in those accounts? What do you expect to find?

I asked the prosecution to include me and my husband. We must all be investigated. He who has not done anything doesn’t need not fear.

How much has it cost you financially, personally, these eight years of struggle?

I live from my husband’s “montepío” (money received after his death). With that I have done everything. I have sold land. The whole family, both my husband and mine, has supported and I am always grateful to them. We will continue until the end.

The expert Roberto Meza will come to make a new expertise. Do you trust him?

He will come in January 2019 and will make an expertise directed to the Office of the Prosecutor. It has nothing to do with remaking the third product. What will delay it are the Christmas holidays. I think that with that and the contribution of the commission will speed up the case a little and we can talk about detainees and something stronger. Justice has to do its part, but I’m not going to wait two years either. We have waited eight years.

After knowing that truth, what will become of Patricia Ochoa?

Thefact that I lost my partner does not mean I do not have dreams. I want to study.Finish the university. Maybe put a coffee shop (smiles). (I)
