Immigrants who came to Ecuador in 2014 were dependent on family

62.8% (31,898) of 50,753 for immigrants who entered in 2014 with one of the eight visas that exist, corresponds to those who depend on the spouse or relatives.
Behind this group are those who seek to exert their profession or a technical career freely, according to the Higher Education Act (6,948) and, those who are granted the visa 10V.
Far below the latter group are foreigners who indefinitely assume administrative, technical or specialized activities in companies, institutions or people established here and benefit from the visa 10 IV (5,318).
In the 2012 and 2013 figures, the total number of immigrants was higher than the past two years (60, 515 and 59,850 respectively), although housewives or dependent people also topped the entry list of immigrants to country.
