In Bolivar, political leaders quit Pachakutik

Posted On 14 Aug 2013

The former Assembly member and deputy of the movement Pachakutik (PK), Ramses Torres, reported yesterday that members of his movement in the province of Bolivar resigned as permanent participants for disagreeing with the last national congress of the group, held last Saturday. “They are tens of thousands,” said Torres.

On last Monday, Torres would have asked the National Electoral Council (CNE) to withdraw the registration of the movement in which he worked “about 15 years”, allegedly over the “double standard” of the authorities of the group, who, according to Torres, betrayed the organization by taking positions related to the Regime.
