“Innovadores de América” Looks For Latin American Talents
Four years ago, “Innovadores de América” began rewarding innovation in Latin America. “It’s an excuse to create a movement of innovation in the region,” Patricia Janiot says, she is the general director and the main CNN Spanish anchor.
The competition is “a regional initiative to encourage creativity as a resource on the genius of Latin Americans to take advantage of the problems, develop innovative ideas and strengthen its development path,” said the businessman Felipe Pagés, who is one of the founders of project.
Innovation projects nominated for the Award will be evaluated according their creative development, personal commitment, the finding, the level of difficulty and the legacy they provide to society, the social and environmental aspects of the nominees.
“Innovadores de América” seeks to bring out to light those people who excel in subjects that are not traditionally in the front pages or prime time. Each winner will receive a $ 40.000 award in the following categories: science and technology, sustainability and ecology, business and industry, community development, education and design.
