International Earth Day was celebrated on April 22

We celebrate the International Day of the Earth since 1970; yesterday it was fulfilled 42 years of this commemoration. The intention is to inform people about the damage that the planet is suffering and to do something for the progress of the planet.

Discovery Channel also celebrated the Day of The Earth with ‘Frozen Planet’ episodes related to the planet seeking to wake consciences.

Google and #EsPorElla campaign premiered the movie “One Day on Earth”, yesterday. The aim is to sensitize on the topic and to announce the changes that the planet suffers.

Ecuadorians promote the care of the ecosystem in their music 

The interest to take care of the planet is also shared by the Ecuadorian group Arkabuz and their music which is based on their experiences with the nature in the Galapagos Islands.With their songs they promote the care of the archipelago.

Rocker musician Carlos Sanchez Montoya, who was the first the musicians who fought bullfights since 2008, has several lyrics that talk about cleaning the streets, the pollution and others with complaints and protests in opposition to consumerism. (PLS)
