International Oversight Exposes the Top 10 Observations
After thirteen months of observations of the restructuring process of the judicial system, the international oversight exposed serious work observations of the Transitional Judicial Council (TYC).
In late November 2011, the Citizen Participation Council (CPC) positioned in its office six foreign characters, including former Spanish judge Baltasar Garzon. The purpose of these citizens was to study the transparency of the reform that came after the popular vote to approve it was carried out in the referendum on May 7, 2011.
The oversight submitted its report on 13 December this year, through an official ceremony at the National Finance Corporation (CFN), where Garzon revealed irregularities in the appointment of the 21 judges of the National Court of Justice (CNJ) and lack of access to information on allocations of infrastructure contracts, which is one of the main points of judicial reform.
