“It’s a miracle”: the man born from the rubble in Ecuador

“It’s a miracle,” said Pablo Cordoba, the carpenter rescued after passing 47 hours under the rubble of a hotel demolished by the earthquake in Ecuador, drinking his own urine and fearing to die injured by the machines that were removing rubble, when his wife was still looking for a coffin.
Through a sms he knew he would get out alive from the remains of El Gato hotel in Portoviejo, the capital of Manabi, one of the most affected buildings by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake of April 16 that swept away the Ecuadorian coast (I).
