Janet Hinostroza Out of the TV Because of Threats

Janeth Hinostroza
Ecuadorian journalist Janet Hinostroza announced her temporary retirement from television after receiving death threats.
This decision was made because of the program ‘Las mañanas 24 horas’ (Teleamazonas), which aired two of three investigative reports on an unrecovered credit of $800.000, given by Cofiec to Gaston Duzan.
Last Friday, Hinostroza didn’t return to the TV channel, however, yesterday she reappeared before the camera only to explain the reason for her decision. While preparing the third report, she received a life threatening call. That’s why, supported by the directive of the TV Station, they decided to take the program off the air, as a preventive action.
For now, the journalist will only appear on the TV show ‘30 Plus‘ and on special news reports.
