Jewelry valued at USD 3.9 million was stolen

In a luxurious residence, owned by an Italian entrepreneur, located in the vicinity of Barra de Maldonado, Punta del Este border, about 140 kilometers from Montevideo (Uruguay), according to the news agency EFE, thieves stole about $ 3,9 million ( 3 million Euros) in jewels, plus $ 25,000 ($ 33,000 Euros) in cash.
The businessman, who was not identified by name, put the complaint at the Maldonado police department where Punta del Este is located, for them to initiate the investigations. The jewels and the money were taken from a safe.
