Jorge Glas says that a coup is under way

Vice President Jorge Glas said yesterday that a coup process is under way, and that it begins with destroying his image.

“There is a clear process of image destruction, here they are starting a coup process, similar to what happened in Brazil, it is a coup in progress. I am not paranoid and they will start attacking close collaborators, to say: ah, since you can not find anything to me, you do not have the courage to accuse me, my hands are clean”, he said.

He insisted that Odebrecht has to “get out” of the country, which owes nothing, that Alianza Pais did not call them to appear because there was no evidence against him, but he fears nothing and will attend the Audit Commission.

He accepted a responsibility in the designation of Carlos Pareja, but he said that he is not Mandrake and his political responsibility was to care about the Esmeraldas Refinery.

“The opposition has something going on here, they seek to affect the Revolution´s process, the first link is Glas, but they met someone brave and well standing, behind me there is a people, a political movement and a job…” he said. (I)
