Judge declares innocent journalist Martín Pallares

Posted On 03 Jul 2017
Ecuadornews:
Today, the judge handling the case declared innocent journalist Martín Pallares, from the accusation filed by Rafael Correa, former president of Ecuador.
Pallares wrote on his Twitter account: “The only witness brought by the defense of Correa has denied that after reading my article her opinion on Correa has changed.”
The hearing came almost a month after Correa filed a lawsuit against Pallares for allegedly uttering “expressions in disrepute or dishonor” against him in an article published on April 25 at the 4Pelagatos website. (I)
