Judges renewal process will take six months
Posted On 10 Jun 2014
From next July the renovation process of the 21 judges of the National Court of Justice (CNJ for its Spanish acronym) will begin, while candidates to the legal offices are convened.
The process will take approximately six months. This will be the first renewal of the Court since its appointment nearly three years ago.
The 2008 Constitution states that the CNJ will be appointed for a period of nine years. Its members may not be reelected and shall be renewed by thirds every three years.
