Julian Assange
Last Wednesday, Julian Assange criticized the movie based on Wikileaks, the website he created. He qualified it as a “massive propaganda attack.”
During a videoconference with Oxford students from the Ecuadorian Embassy where he took refuge, he said he read the script of that movie named “the Fifth Estate.”
“Lie upon lie. The movie is a massive propaganda attack against Wikileaks and members of my team”, he said. He also accused the movie to “add fuel to the fire” regarding the Iran conflict.
He relates that in the script the first scene takes place in an Iranian military complex where documents have nuclear symbols. “What does it have to do with us ?” asked Assange.
The Wikileaks creator lives asa recluse in the Ecuadorian embassy to avoid his extradition to Sweden because of a presumed case of sexual violence and rape.
Wikileaks received the planet attention and provoked US anger when they published thousands of secret documents related to the Afghanistan and Irak wars in 2010. (JBM)
