Labor Code provides 5 topics as ‘subject of study’
Five are the issues that the Executive left ‘on hold’ in the draft of the Labour Relations Code.
These are: Employee Benefits for workers or sex workers, maintenance of dining rooms, medical services and social work for employees, contract completion bonus and retirement global fund and labor union per working activity.
The document, prepared by the Ministry of Labour Relations and delivered to the Legislative last Thursday, indicated that topics are ‘subjected to study’ or in ‘development process’.
Regarding the obligations of the employer, clauses 6 and 23 of code 30 are in state of ‘review’.
Clause 6 states that the employer is required to maintain appropriate dining rooms places for workers when the number of workers is 25 or more; and clause 23 states that if the employer has a hundred or more workers, necessarily medical services and social work will be featured.
