LAN and TAM will be LATAM from 2016
LATAM Airlines, the largest airline group in Latin America, confirmed Thursday the union of the brands that gave rise to the company, that will begin to be visible in all its businesses centers, including aircraft, from the first half of 2016.
The conglomerate resulting from the fusion between the Chilean companies LAN and TAM in 2012, will begin to use the “LATAM” trademark gradually on its planes, offices and physical spaces in a process that will take about three years, the company reported to the Chilean securities regulator.
LATAM Airlines, with its headquartered in Santiago, has operating units in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru.
LATAM will be the Latin American airline group with the largest presence in the region, with more than 1,500 daily flights, domestic operations in 7 countries, more than 140 destinations to 24 countries, with daily connections to Europe, America, Oceania and the Caribbean and 144 cargo destinations to 26 countries.
