Balerio Sindulfo Estacio Valencia, former Assembly member and land manager, was convicted by the Eight Court of Criminal Guarantees of the Provincial Court of Justice of Guayaquil under the charge of land traffic in the north east of the city.
The hearing that lasted four hours, was performed the past Wednesday, January 4th. According to Julio Vacacela Romero, the Guayas prosecution requested the Courthouse for the maximum penalty in these kinds of felonies, which is five years of imprisonment.
However the Courthouse will give its final verdict on the next Friday. (AV)
