Ecuadornews:
President Lenin Moreno and the Minister of Tourism Enrique Ponce met on August 16, 2017, with representatives of the Spanish investment group Globalia. The entrepreneurs are interested in the tourism potential of Ecuador and aim at promoting it in Europe. This consortium manages firms such as Air Europa and the travel agency Halcón Viajes.
Javier Hidalgo, a representative of Globalia, stressed that Ecuador is attractive to their target market and stressed that they seek to work together with the Ministry of Tourism to design the approach and promotion. “Ecuador is a country of an ecological wealth, of a biodiversity that only a few countries in the world have, especially because of the proximity of different varieties of climates,” said the businessman. On his side, Tourism Minister Enrique Ponce reported that Globalia’s intention is to build a strategic investment alliance. (I)
