Lenin Moreno offers his “best wishes” to Sebastián Piñera
Ecuadornews:
The Ecuadorian president, Lenin Moreno, offered his best wishes today to Sebastián Piñera, who assumed the Presidency of Chile and succeeded Michelle Bachelet.
“My best wishes for President Sebastián Pinera and all the brotherly Chilean people,” the Ecuadorian president, who participated in the investiture ceremony in the South American country, wrote in his Twitter account.
In his account of that social network, Moreno, in power since May 2017, released a photograph in which Piñera appears with the presidential band.
Moreno had met yesterday with Piñera at the Andres Bello Diplomatic Academy in Chile.
The Ecuadorian president traveled to Chile on Friday accompanied by his wife, Rocío González; of the chancellor, María Fernanda Espinosa, of the Minister of Culture, Raúl Pérez Torres, and of the minister in charge of Mining, Rebeca Illescas, among others.
The trip to Chile is Moreno’s fifth trip abroad, after those he made to the United Nations in September, to Peru in October, to Europe (Spain and Italy) in December and to Colombia in February. (I)
