Leopoldo López will continue arrested for 45 days

A court in Caracas today ratified the custodial measure  for the  opposition leader Leopoldo López, who will remain in the Ramo Verde military prison, in the capital outskirts, confirmed a source of Voluntad Popular.

The source of the party led by Lopez pointed that the accusations of fire and damage, as well as the Association to commit crime and instigation are confirmed. The opposition leader will continue in this detention centre at least for 45 days.

Juan Carlos Gutiérrez, Lopez´s Lawyer, had rejected in the afternoon the decision of judge Dalenys Tovar, who is in charge of the case, for having made the presentation audience in the military penitentiary instead of  the Palace of Justice in Caracas, considering it “irregular” and a “constitutional injury”.
