Manta will host tourism convention

The first Discover EC 2018 National Tourism Convention will take place from November 15 to 18 at the Port Terminal of Manta.

The event seeks to revive tourism in Manabí and learn about new trends in the tourism industry worldwide.

Lissette Vélez, director of the event and representative of the firm Export World & Bussinnes, explained that the congress will also learn about the management models of tourist routes, such as the Tequila Route of Mexico, the Wine Route of Chile, the gastronomic routes from Peru, the Ruta del Tango in Argentina, among others.

On the Ecuadorian side, the routes of the Tren de la Toquilla and rural tourism products will be exhibited.

In the event, the Iñay awards will be presented to recognize successful companies and destinations that have contributed to the growth of the sector. It is estimated that between 3,000 and 4,000 people will attend the event. (I)
