Ecuadornews:
The textile company Mayta represented Ecuador in the World Fashion Week. Its motto is Living is an art! and innovate in the Ecuadorian fashion. After living surrounded by artistic works, its CEO Diego Madriñan, along with other people created the Mayta brand two and a half years ago.
The group of successful entrepreneurs managed to merge art and fashion. Soon after, they founded a factory and five stores in Quito, Ecuador. The company is specialized in hand-made “haute couture,” a maximum of ten pieces of each design, nevertheless they also offer a prêt-à-porter collection.

El vestido Merizal de Stripes fue elegido en el evento Runway realizado este año en Quito, para estar en el programa estadounidense American Beauty Star.
The manager of the company along with Gabriela Vera, the design director, are grandchildren of the renowned Ecuadorian painter Oswaldo Guayasamín. Under the artistic mantle of their family, they created Mayta, a brand that gives both renowned and emerging artists a space in the fashion world to present their works.
Mayta was invited at the beginning of the year by the Fashion Week organization after a presentation at the Ecuador Runway. On September 10, Mayta represented Ecuador on the runway of the World Fashion Week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with its recent collection called ‘SS18: Geometric Nature.’ (I)
