Mexico mourns death of Jenni Rivera
Mexico regrets a great loss in music due to the death of Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera, considered as “Selena Quintanilla’s successor”.
Consecrated as the ” The Band’s Diva,” Jenni Rivera was the first female Banda artist in Mexican music genre and died when the plane she was on crashed flying from Monterrey to Toluca.
The Learjet 25, model 1969, MC-licensed N345, was found completely destroyed in the countryside of El Tejocote, located 15 kilometers from the Santiago municipal road.
The confirmation of her death shocked the art world, both in this country and worldwide. Television and radio programming, magazine and newspaper headlines nationwide, showed the shock that this news caused in Mexican society who will give their last farewell to the actress, today.
Rivera’s remains will be brought to Los Angeles, United States, where she lived with her family.
