They have an excellent academic preparation, they are sensitive to ecological issues, they have a high correlation between satisfaction and purposes, they are true to their personal values. Those are some of the characteristics of the millennials (the millennial generation, those born between 1980 and 2000).

Knowing their characteristics is essential, in Ecuador one of every three people is (4’979.516 which accounts for 34% of the Ecuadorian population).

A company gives a millennial the opportunity to get his first job. A study conducted by Deloitte says they have a high correlation between satisfaction and purpose. The global analysis indicates that a 56% would not take certain jobs because of the values or the organizational behavior, while 49% has rejected opportunities because these clash with their values or ethics.

In Ecuador 12.6% of these millennials are unemployed, in this regard, what the opinion of the business sector? Juan Carlos Diaz-Granados, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil tells to daily Expreso that it is a pity that the economic and legal situation of the country does not permit to benefit from all the human talent of the millennials.
