Miss USA Olivia Culpo is the new Miss Universe 2012

Last night,   the new beauty sovereign of the world was elected. Miss USA, Olivia Culpo, became  Miss Universe 2012, in the gala held at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas (Nevada).

The candidate of Philippines, Janine Tugonon, was honored as first runner, while Irene Sofía Esser Quintero, Miss Venezuela, was third.

Miss Brazil (Gabriela Markus) and Miss Australia (Renae Ayris) were eliminated in the last phase.

Culpo knew how to answer the question made by Mexican Ximena Navarrete, jury member and winner of Miss Universe in 2010. When asked about any experiences in her life that she would never never repeat, the U.S. candidate said:

“In every experience, whether good or bad, you learn something. That’s how life is. Possibly, I regret not being more affectionate with my brothers when I was little, because when you grow up you realize how much you really love them.”
