More than 450 fishermen benefit from dock in Cojimies

In the marine enclave of Cojimíes, of the canton Pedernales, in the northwest of Manabí, this Thursday, August 2, was inaugurated the artisanal fishing facility.
The ceremony took place after noon. With an approximate investment of $ 5 million of resources from the law of solidarity, the work became a reality.
The Vice President of the Republic, María Alejandra Vicuña, who arrived to deliver the work, said that there are 450 artisanal fishermen benefited.
This type of projects are also part of the plan to strengthen the popular and solidary economy, which is one of the fundamental axes of the reconstruction in Manabí and Esmeraldas after the earthquake of April 16, 2016, he emphasized.
“In four fishing facilities, which are also built in Puerto López and Crucita, in Manabí, and Chamanga, in Esmeraldas, $ 66 million are invested,” said Indira Puertas, from the Department of Tourism of the Municipality of Pedernales.
