This Tuesday Hesham Kandil, 50, was appointed as the new Prime Minister of Egypt by its current president Mohammed Morsi. Kandil is now in charge of restoring the country’s socio-economic stability after its downfall due to months of protests.

Previously Hesham Kandil had been the minister of water resources and irrigation, after receiving his new designation, Morsi moves on to the task of forming a new cabinet.

Egypt is starting to overcome several problems. Kandil replaced the former Prime Minister Kamal Ganzouri who resigned after Morsi was elected as president. AV
