Music and Comedy in the “Teleton por la Vida 2012”

Singers, dancers and comedians will be the responsible for turning on the “2012 Teleton por la Vida”, schedulled for this Saturday, December 1, from 9:00 to 20:00 (GMT), at Centro de Arte Theatre.

This year’s the Telethon will offer a new proposal: Sitcoms. Besides the participation of great national and international musicians, who every year collaborate with this huge event, now awesome comedians  like Mexican Adal Ramones, Colombian Andres Lopez and Dominican Julio Sabala, will join the event.

“Teleton por la Vida” is a private action that seeks to help underprivileged children; it’s well organized event is carried out by Guayaquil’s Mayor, Jaime Nebot, who this year aims to raise a million dollars.

The gathered Funds will go to the foundations “Aprendiendo a vivir con diabetes” and “Esperanza de vida”, which help children with cancer; also “Aldeas Infantiles del Ecuador”, which includes abandoned children or victims involved in violence.

Nebot announced that a fund of a quarter of a million dollars will be used for treatments and operations to poor children, as well as scholarships to poor children and nonprofit institutions, such as Asenir and National Fasinarm.
