Nadal Beats Simon and Goes to the Next Round
Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal performed his best game of the week at the U.S. Open this Sunday, after overcoming Gilles Simon (French) 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 in two hours.
Nadal played a hard match against the former top-ten French player, who became a hard to defeat adversary in the first two sets, but in the third one, he lowered his tennis level and lost the battle.
Rafael got the break in the third game of the match, but Simon made some strategic moves that made Nadal play his best, giving us a great tennis game.
Second set was very similar, long points allowed Nadal to get a good rhythm and play an intensive game, achieving victory towards his French opponent in the seventh game. Two sets down, Simon was clearly not in his best game. Rafael scored 6-2.
In the second round, Nadal will face his compatriot Feliciano Lopez, who he has defeated five of the seven previous matches.
