National soccer championship begins

The Reina del Cisne de Loja stadium was the stage where the new edition of the national soccer championship started, and there, amid persistent rain during the 90 minutes of play, the Liga de Loja local team and the Deportivo Quito, engaged and tied with 2 goals each.

The goals of the match, played in front of 1,800 fans, were scored by Pedro Larrea and Fabricio Guevara for Loja, and Luis Congo and Federico Nieto, for Deportivo Quito.

Deportivo Quito and Liga de Loja opened the new season of the soccer national championship.

Meanwhile, today, starting at 16h00, the undisputed champion Barcelona S.C. will visit Deportivo Quevedo. It’s a game that arouses great expectations due to the new foreign additions made by the “Canarios.” The other matches to be played are: Liga de Quito vs U. Catolica (newly promoted), at 12h00 and Manta vs Independiente, at 14h00.
