‘China Suarez’ will be called to trial

Yesterday morning the order to initiate the trial against Veronica Suarez Macias, known as ‘La China Suarez’, was issued for the alleged crime of illegal transportation of firearms.

Stalin Coca, in representation of the prosecutor, Yanina Villagomez, decided to accuse Suarez during the course of the sustaining and  preparation for trial hearing. That same day, the local model was “celebrating” her birthday.

These allegations also involved Javier Illingworth Ortega, Suarez’s fiancé and Julio Cesar Leal Segura, designated by the couple as owner of the gun that the police found in the model’s car. Suarez’s defense asked its dismissal, but was not accepted.

Suarez and Illingworth were arrested on August 28^th in the streets 25 and Captain Nájera, southwest of Guayaquil, after they were discovered by the police for acting suspiciously.
