New signal from Malaysia Airlines’s black box is detected by airplane
The localization of the black box from the Malaysia Airlines plane disappeared on March 8, has widened in recent days after investigators believe that the search teams are very close to the `final resting place´ of the lost device.
An Australian airplane detected this Thursday a possible acoustic signal coming from the sea, in the same area where electronic pulses corresponding to the black box have been recorded in recent days on several occasions.
A P-3 Orion plane, which has been launching marking buoys near where sounds were detected, has registered a `possible signal´ that seems to come from a source created by humans, as assured by Angus Houston, responsible of the Agency for coordinating search operations.
For his part, Houston said yesterday that the Ocean Shield equipments capted two sounds under water on Tuesday, and the analysis of two other sounds registered in the area last Saturday, showed that the sounds are coherent with those issued by voices recorders of the crew and the flight data.
