Newly registered slaughterhouse riots in Guayaquil
This morning dozens of workers and traders in the slaughterhouse of Guayaquil announced they will halt their activities if the municipality officials fail to resolve their orders.
They are asking local commanders to be given a better service and reduced rates at the slaughterhouse.
About 50 uniformed officers cordoned off the site of the slaughterhouse with trucks, motorcycles and riot groups, preventing the vehicle from dealers and users. Several business owners in the area closed their doors to avoid being affected by the riots.
Dozens of people were affected by the conflict that began in the 8H00. Two metropolitans were injured in the clash, while traders and members of the press were damaged by stones and tear gas.
