North Korea assumes attack formation
North Korea assumed a fighting position with artillery units and missiles, with directed to the United States and South Korea, informed yesterday the state agency KCNA.
The Supreme Command of the North Korean People’s Army “from this moment stands in a number one fighting order of all his artillery units, missiles including strategic and long-range artillery,” KCNA said. The agency reiterated that the North Korean artillery units point to the mainland of South Korea, United States, Hawaii, Guam and other North American military bases in the Pacific.
“We will show the harsh reaction of our army and people to protect them through military actions of our sovereignty and the highest dignity“, the latter was a reference to the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un.
The Pentagon condemned the threats of North Korea and said Washington is ready to respond to “any eventuality.”
Meanwhile the South Korean army “has not detected any unusual movements” in the Armed Forces of the North.
