Nueva Loja declares Ramiro Gonzalez as persona non grata
That is how the councilors of Nueva Loja, who waited throughout 2012 for the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute (IESS for its Spanish acronym) to begin the construction of a hospital and an ambulatory care center on two lots donated by the municipality of the canton, named chairman of such institute, Ramiro Gonzalez Jaramillo, on January 25.
Councillors, outraged by demonstrating that the works never began, declared Gonzalez as persona non grata.
“Gonzalez has lied to the members …, the cantonal authorities and all the people of Sucumbios, by failing to initiate the construction of the Nueva Loja Hospital and the Ambulatory Care Center in the parish of Pacayacu (Nueva Loja)” said a statement from the cantonal Municipality.
It should be noted that the City Council, prior to the donation of the land to the IESS, warned that if the building of the Hospital and Care Center did not start until December 2012, “Economist Ramiro Gonzalez will be declared as persona non grata“. And so he was.
