OAS Observers Will Release their Report about the Plebiscite Today
Delegates of the international organization noted that the consultation met the international standards and national legislation in the areas of speech and transparency of the electoral administration.
At 10:30 today, observers of the Organization of American States (OAS) will issue their report on the development of of the referendum day held on the weekend. “It’s going to be a credible report, that’s for sure,” said the head of the mission of the international body, Enrique Correa.
He anoted that observers saw no political movements on Saturday, a situation that he says, “would have helped improve the clarity of the process.”
A total of 45 delegates, of the OAS staff, was distributed on the campuses in the country, where no news reported.
