Jaime Alberto Escobar owns Baquerizo Oil Services & Solutions S.A. (OSS), the Ecuadorian company has been awarded Petroecuador contracts for $ 30.3 million and at the same time would own with his brother, Juan Andres, an offshore structure created through the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca (MF).
The documentation of these companies is part of the  Panama Papers, a leakage of files belonging to MF published by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).
Two companies based in the Bahamas, two in New Zealand, one in British Anguilla and two foundations in Panama would be involved in this. Some of these companies opened accounts in Swiss banks.
Arkdale Investments Limited, domiciled in Bahamas, which in 2014 had signed a contract with the Panamanian firm Girbra S.A., related to the former general manager of Petroecuador Alex Bravo Panchano, is one of these companies.
In that agreement, Arkdale appears as a provider of oil services and Girbra as its representative for South America. The commission payment for this service consisted of an initial payment of $ 600 thousand and 10% of the bills collected by the Panamanian firm (I).
