The groups were divided: to the right people of MPD, ID, Sociedad Patriotica, Participación who fought to count each vote completely in the review of the inconsistent acts. In the left side Alianza Pais, who asked to only review the results of question where there were numerical errors.
On the other hand, Omar Simons arrived at the spot with a signed letter which recommended to review only the results of the questions with inconsistencies. Meanwhile outside hundreds of delegates from different parties tried to enter the theater, but soldiers prevented them from passage stating that there was no room inside.
Paola Pabón, Cesar Rodriguez, and Maria Augusta Calle, from Alianza PAIS party, said the opposition demanded a recount of votes in order to delay the delivery of results in provinces where the “Yes” option leads to country, but with the expansion sought by the opposition, “No” data will be more time exposed to the public.
After noon, when defining the most appropriate mechanism to verify the results of faulty records, the count was temporarily suspended to prevent further incidents because of the mood of the supporters. People were evacuated and the polls were guarded by soldiers.
