Panchi Ramiro: ‘They tell me I have to wait and be patient’
Ramiro Panchi traveled from El Oro to lay down on the sidewalk in front of the Police Hospital, to remember that in that place his son Darwin died of a shot in the head while driving one of the vehicles of the Army.
How is that investigation going?
They don´t have results yet, I know it will take much longer. I’m hoping they do a good job and that hopefully the culprits pay and not the fools.
What did the prosecutor tell you?
I have to wait and be patient.
Does the Government has assisted you with compensations?
They have not given me a penny; but they have helped my wife, I thank them for having assisted her in the state she was, she was very ill.
What other actions will you carry out to accelerate the investigations?
For all this I must have money and I don´t have it. The only thing I have is the hope that the prosecutor does what he has to do. It could take five more years, because they took from me all I had in this life, my only son.
