Part of the tourism advertising will be assumed by Ministry
Between 20% and 30% of the cost of the advertising for national tourism products that are promoted by the business community of Ecuador, will be assumed by the Ministry of Tourism.
This was announced by the Minister of Tourism, Vinicio Alvarado, during the presentation of the “Travel First Ecuador” campaign yesterday. The event was attended by about 200 representatives of the industries of tourism and trade of Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca.
The Ministry proposes to cover 20% of the advertising costs for entrepreneurs that develop products with domestic destinations, with the condition to include the “Travel Ecuador first” label.
If the product is the Cruise Train it will finance 30% of its advertising.
Alvarado emphasized that the goal is to “try that the average Ecuadorian consume a little more about us. We do not pretend they do not trip, but that domestic spending is higher.”
