Payments of Banco Sudamericano will begin from Monday
Pedro Solines, Superintendent of Banks and Insurance, said that from Monday, September 8th, the former clients of Banco Sudamericano will begin to receive their deposits.
Solines explained that the Deposit Insurance Corporation (Cosede for its Spanish acronym), in coordination with the Superintendency of Banks, will be the responsible for making the payments.
To this end, the operation hours will be published in the Pacific Bank.
About $ 2 million will be delivered to over two thousand customers that will receive up to $ 32,000.
Solines also said that he requested the General Attorney and criminal judges to apply protective and personal measures against the bank’s shareholders, but these have not yet been granted.
The authority said that they have a video that has called the attention of the authorities, in which he explains “it shows that (several officials) are taking money from the safes and vaults”.
