Peaceful demonstration for the penalty to animal abuse

Through a virtual call, the Guayaquil Animal Rescue organization urged citizens to join the national demonstration to demand the government to jail the penalty for those who mistreat abuse or murder animals.

The call was attended independent persons and other organizations such as SOS Gatuno, working on behalf of animals and nature.

“We are united because regardless of what group is organized, we are here to defend all the animals, and if we want to see progress in our country, we must begin by respecting the most defenseless,” said Karen Altamirano, member of Saving Friends, independent group that is responsible for rescue animals and give them in adoption to good homes.

Different organizations seeking to protect animals are fighting for the National Assembly include drastic against those who violate animal suffering, concerning the development of a new Code of Criminal penalties Integral.
