Photographer dies after trying to photograph Justin Bieber
On Tuesday, a celebrity photographer died after being hit by a car while trying to take a picture of Canadian singer Justin Bieber.
The LAPD reported that Bieber’s Ferrari was stopped along a highway in Los Angeles and that was the time when the paparazzo crossed the street to take a picture. However, the young singer was not in the vehicle.
The singer said after his prayers dedicated to the family of the photographer, 29, who was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after the accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
“Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves,” Bieber said trough a statement released by Island Def Jam Music Group.
Bieber’s car was driven by a friend of the artist and was stopped by an officer of the California Highway Patrol on Interstate 405, for speeding. Minutes before the incident, the photographer had contacted a colleague to assure him he would take a photo of Bieber smoking marijuana in his Ferrari.
