Players prepare for second round of the 1000 Miami Masters

American tennis player,  defeated world number three Roger Federer by 7-6 (4), 1-6, 6-4 in the third round of the Miami Masters 1000.

Meanwhile, Argentine Juan Martin del Potro bested the Croatian Marin Cilic yesterday by 6-3, 7-6 (3) and placed in the second round. His next opponent will be the Spanish  who defeated Julien Benneteau of France with a score 7-6 (5), 6-4.

The Argentinean Juan Monaco won after losing first set against French Gael Monfils by 4-6, 6-3 y 6-4.

Meanwhile, world number one, Novak Djokovic defeDaAndy Roddickvid Ferrer,ated compatriot Viktor Troicki 6-3 6-4 to advance to the knockout stages, like the Frenchman Richard Gasquet who defeated the Spanish Albert Ramos in three sets by 6-2, 5-7 and 6-3. For his part, Spanish David Ferrer settled Frenchman Julien Benneteau 7-6 (5), 6-4.

In women category, American Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova advanced to the quarterfinals of the tennis tournament in Miami. China’s Li Na defeated the German Sabine Liscki 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
