Political organizations have 16 days to withdraw electoral propaganda
Political groups have until March 23 to remove the physical electoral propaganda in the country, or if required, they will have to pay fines of up to $ 3,400.
The authorities also sanctioned property owners located in restricted areas where political bases were installed during the campaign, as explained by Xavier Narváez, director of the Department of Justice and Monitoring from the Municipality.
Under Articles 12 and 13 of the ordinance, penalties for political subjects who breach the allowed parameters for placing election propaganda, are 10 unified basic salaries, ie $ 3,400, and for owners of real estate, one fine of 5 unified basic salaries, ie $ 1,700.
Political propaganda must be removed 30 days after the elections are held, ie, the deadline is in 16 days, otherwise, the City will hire a company, which would be responsible for removing advertising, and whose service costs would be charged to political groups and candidates who fail to comply with the ordinance.
