Pop Art pioneer, Richard Hamilton, dies at 89

The british pop artist Richard Hamilton, best known by his 1956 collage featuring a body builder and a tin of ham, died at the age of 89 of a short illness.
“The art world has lost one of its leading lights,” said the Gagosian Gallery.
Days before he died, Hamilton was working on a major retrospective that was supposed to be exhibited in London, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Madrid next year.
