Water Resources Act: Cordero announces pre-legislative plebiscite
Fernando Cordero, president of the National Assembly, schedule the pre-legislative plebiscite and announced that he expects to approve the reforms to the Organic Law of the Legislative Branch (LOFL) before October 9.
Once approved the LOFL reforms, Cordero hopes that by October 15th the first pre-legislative plebiscite on the Water Resources Act (Water Law) will be held.
The deadline for registration for the people and the communities to participate in the consultation would be 10 days. The list of communities in which the process will be held is going to be part of the board’s decision.
Cordero will convene to this Wednesday all the members of the Ecuadorian assembly in order to continue with the analysis of this standard to reach a consensus before the discussion in the plenary.
