Pope Benedict XVI Lights Christmas Tree with iPad

Pope Benedict XVI connected himself via satellite with his iPad from his office to light the biggest Christmas tree of the world. According to the diocese the tree of Gubbio, Italy entered in the ‘Guinness’ World Records in 1991.
Although the tree is not natural it’s the largest one in the world with more than de 8,000 cables with lights placed in the skirts of mount Ingino that has 750 meters of height with 450 meters wide. The star of the tree has 40 meters wide and 25 meters of length.
Before lighting the tree, the Pope added that ‘some men need a light to illuminate their path in life and hope.’ (AV)
