Pope Francis apologizes for scandals of the Church
Pope Francis today apologized for his mistakes and those of his collaborators, as well as some scandals caused within the Church, during the Christmas hearing for workers of the Vatican City.
“I can not conclude this meeting without asking you to forgive my mistakes and my collaborator´s mistakes and also for some scandals that have done so much damage. Forgive me!” Said the Pope.
Francis also thanked the work of all those working in the Vatican and recalled the “need to be harmonic and able to work together.”
He also recommended the workers to avoid gossip. “When you have the risk of losing your job and in other difficult situations it may happen that you speak bad of others. I understand, but it is not Ok. It is better to avoid it,” he said.
