President Correa qualifies report on bureaucracy in Ecuador as “a farce”

President Rafael Correa questioned the report of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), qualifies Ecuador as the second worst bureaucracy of the continent. Through his Twiter account (@MashiRafael), Correa described the report as “the ultimate farce.”
The IDB analyzed the progress achieved by 16 countries in the development and professionalization of the bureaucracy, as well as efficiency, the merits, the solidity and integration of the civil service to the Government strategy, among other topics.
According to the study results, Ecuador obtained 21 points out of 100 in institutional quality, while the regional average is 38.
