Presidential hopefuls resume their activities today

Posted On 01 Mar 2017
Presidential candidates running for the second round of elections, Guillermo Lasso (CREO-SUMA) and Lenin Moreno (AP), continue today their proselytizing activities.
Lasso did not conduct any public activity during the holiday. He met with his campaign team to define the strategy for the second round.
Only last Saturday he issued a response to President Rafael Correa, who claimed that the CREO leader Cesar Monge had insulted the Manabi inhabitants for voting for Moreno.
Moreno also held internal meetings. But yesterday he suspended his break to meet the elected assembly members of AP. The workshop was held in a hotel in the capital.
Today he plans to join a caravan in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, at 17:00.
